On Brandon's weekends to work I wanted to start doing something fun with the girls and continue to enrich all of our relationships. I decided to do tea parties...use a little tea set, have hot chocolate and some dainty treats. My hope is it becomes a time where we can just have conversations about whatever is going on and continue to create stronger mother/daughter relationships and sister/sister relationships. When we were done snacking we did a quick craft that I snagged from Pinterest. Thinking we can use these times to plan upcoming birthdays and such so they can be apart of that as well.
Then on Sunday Brandon and I headed out for the Scheels Christmas party. For a little bit we weren't sure we would make it because our babysitter got stuck in traffic on interstate due to snowy roads and accidents. Felt so bad for her...took her one hour to get one mile to get off closest exit. We got to the party right in time for the video presentation and drawings for the prizes...Brandon's name was drawn and he picked a basketball with Jazz players autographs on it. Pretty cool!! Was a great time...Jacey did a phenomenal job making the place look festive. The food was delish as well. I of course loved being able to have convos with people without being interrupted by the kiddos. :) A couple hours of socializing and being around fun people goes a long ways in refueling for the next week.
My favorite part was getting a good pic of Brandon and I. They are few and far between because I am usually the one capturing all the moments behind the camera.
Once again can't believe all the great times we are having...they just keep coming. Looking forward to more fun in February and lots of family visits in March.
