As usual I can't believe how quickly another year has come and gone...and as I reflect on this past year I am shocked by how much has taken place.
The first Dawes Christmas Eve went great...we had plenty of family time!! I made my mom's breakfast casserole in the morning and chili verde for lunch/dinner. Chili verde is one of Brandon's favorites...shredded pork in green salsa and made into tacos. Thought I better explain because I had no idea what it was till I had it few years ago at his sisters home in CA. We did all kinds of other fun Christmas traditions too...tree decorating, sugar cookies, lots of baking and so much more. We topped the evening off with our neighbors the LaBarge's over; enjoyed some socializing and Just Dance 4. We spent Christmas day at the Jones' once again tons of family fun and excellent food!!!
One week later we got ready to host our annual NYE party...true to tradition we kept it small and stayed home. Had a white trash theme which created some great comic relief...and enjoyed our beverages out of red solo cup wine glasses. Thanks Karen!! Was a great way to ring in the new year and I continue to be thankful for having such close friends/family that live right around the corner to us.
In the month of January we are super excited for a few events...#1 Inventory to be done, always a stressful long weekend for the Scheel's crew and since it is the first time for this store it could be the worst...it starts today so by Monday Brandon will be ready for his day off. #2 An over night stay at the Park City Marriott Mountain Side Resort, just found out it is ski in/ski out so we will be enjoying a day of skiing as a family. #3 Sundance festival, since this event is in Park City and January has a film showing there this year it is a no brainer for us to go...once again blessed that January could get us tickets. As you can see we will be starting the year off with a bang!!! Can't wait to see what the rest of the year has in store for us!!
Jenn and the rest of the Dawes crew
Will continue to update with photos the next couple of days...
