The season has finally begun for Bailey...it is so much fun to see all of Bailey's hard work come together out on the floor!!! That is pretty much an understatement...I LOVE watching my girlies perform, compete and do what they love...I get why my parent's lived and breathed it even more now.
Bailey has had two competitions this season, one in Park City (Black Diamond) and one in Salt Lake (Crystal Cup). My Uncle Marv took us to the Black Diamond competition...weather was sketchy and it is a 45 minute drive up the mountain and I currently drive a rear wheel drive vehicle and I am an anxious driver these days...but that is a whole other blog entry. :) We had a great time videoing, taking pictures on our phones and with the big camera and of course recording all the scores. Ava and Kaylinn did great too...it isn't always easy for a 4 and 6 year old to sit through the competitions that take 2.5-3 hours. I was so proud of Bailey...she is doing quite a few more difficult elements in her routines and she looked FANTASTIC.
She has a handstand and cartwheel on beam, dive roll and double back handspring on floor, she gets up to high bar on bars and lands on feet for vault!!! She continues to amaze me everyday with her dedication and passion for the sport...she spends 16 hours per week in the gym and never complains...only talks about how much she loves it!!!
The next week we turned around and did competition all over again...right here in Salt Lake City. She improved scores in every event and received her best ever All Around (AA) score!! She had an incredible "save" on her cartwheel on the beam. I am posting pics we got on a cd from this event...they are awesome!! In the beam pics you can even see Kaylinn, Ava and I in the audience...I have my phone up video recording and watching live at the same time...gotta multi-task at all time. HA!! We have this week off from competition, but are back at it next week when Meme, Boppa, Chad and Andi are in town...we are so excited to have more cheerleaders. Due to Bailey competing on Friday's up until this point it will be Brandon's first time seeing competition LIVE...thank heavens for simple technology these days to keep our closest peeps in the loop!!
Until our next adventure...
