Summer is Here & eMotion Dance Recital!!!

The girls and I ended the school year with a bang!!!  Remembered to take pics, went out to lunch and ended with movie night!!!  We are ALL very ready for summer...time to relax, catch some rays, swim, camp, try new things & explore more of Utah!!!

First year of middle school complete...7th grade here she comes!!!

Ava and Kaylinn had their end of year recital to top off the last week of school...what a show it was!! So glad I decided to buy a DVD of the production...we will be able to relive this wonderful day over and over and over again!  Ava had 3 dance numbers...hip-hop routine ROAR, jazz routine PEACOCKS & she was a lost boy in the full ballet PETER PAN!!  Miss Ava is quite the performer...those of you that know her will not be surprised by this...she LOVES the stage and the girl has moves like Jagger!!  LOL!!  Kaylinn had a jazz routine OH SO QUIET and was a fairy in the full ballet PETER PAN!!  I was extremely impressed with how well her group of 5 year olds did...AMAZING and so proud!!

I can't begin to even come close to showing my appreciation and gratitude to the girls' school teachers, dance teachers and coaches...they love them as their own and push them to do & be their best!!!  THANK YOU...your efforts and passion for what you do do not go unnoticed by this mom!!!

eMotion Dance Recital!!

Saturday June 8 was the finale to the girls', Ava and Kaylinn's, dance season.  Kaylinn was in the second dance of the evening, Pocket Full of Miracles.  Ava was in two dances toward the end of the evening so we were there for the long haul.  Ava's ballet routine was called Through the Seasons and her jazz routine was called Juke Box Baby.  Both girls had a blast being pampered before hand by me...both getting hair and make up done...then of course LOVE getting dressed up and being on stage.  It was so fun to watch all of their practice pay off!!  More importantly the huge smiles on their face said it all!!  They now have the summer off from dance...classes start up again when school starts in the fall.  They are very excited and can't wait to try out some other classes...Ava's name was drawn for 50% off her monthly tuition for all of next year...I was a HAPPY mom when I got that news.  I didn't do a very good job of catching every moment of the recital but I did catch a few shots here and there...I was running around like a crazy woman doing costume changes, hair changes, freshening up make up and checking in costumes...I got to see all the dances but very few photos.

adVEntURE #10...eMotion dance competition

Ava continues to love dance...she was born to be on stage!! She of course loves wearing makeup and getting her hair done all fancy. I was definitely a rookie dance mom, but I took good notes and am now ready for costume changes, makeup changes and hair do changes.

Kaylinn is also loving dance but hasn't been on stage yet...so we will see how that goes in a couple of weeks.

We have dance pics this week, which means all of their costumes are home. It is quite difficult to make sure they don't wear them. Ha!!!

AdVEntuRE #1 2013...danCe!!!

Ava and Kaylinn are starting dance today. Ava will start with ballet but my guess is she will love it and she may add a tap class to round out the year. Kaylinn is in a class that is half tap and half ballet. OMG she was so cute today and loved every minute.

After dance we headed to Scheel's to do a little shopping. I got Hudson jeans(I highly recommend to all jean lover's), new ski boots and ski socks!! I am now ready for adventure #2...Park City Ski Resort!!!
